Tantric Goddess Network

Monday April 30th was a very special day for me .
Early morning all my big brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Singh and my mom, dad and me
went to the Mari Amman temple in Atipperti where they shaved off all my baby
hair!! Oop that was quite and experience

According tradition they say that by cutting off the first hair in the 5th month
the new hair that grows will be strong and lush. Well, I certainly hope so
because my little head is very bold right now!
On the other hand, because it is so hot during the day this time of the year my
head is nice and cool without any hair!
Everybody is calling me “Motaitalai” (bold head in Tamil) at the moment because
of my missing hair!
Mr. Singh had the honor of holding me while a man from the temple was
shaving my
head. At first I did not know what was going on. When I tried turning my head to
ask for explanation I could not because Mr. Singh and daddy were holding it
tight.

That really pissed me off!! I am known for my hot temper when anything happens
that I don’t like, so I started screaming until I lost my voice to sream!!
But it did not help straight away as it usually does.. My soft loving father as
usual could stand to hear me cry, tool me from Mr. Singh nurtured me for a
while, that was very nice as usual.
Everybody who came with us seemed to have a lot of fun and were smiling; only my
dad and mom looked a bit worried when I was screaming under the sharp razor
blade of the man.
I heard more children voices crying who got the same treatment as me… full
objection!! After a while they finally let go and Solotsna and my mommy took me for a shower
in the big bathroom close to the temple. I needed something to cool down and the
shower with cool water was very welcome.
When we got out daddy put sandalwood paste on my bold head and I could smile
again, even more when I got 4 new dresses from Mr. and Mrs. Singh!!
In my new dress and with a yellow bold head we went into the Mari
Amman temple
to greet the great Goddess.
Mari Amman is especially for children. Whenever there are sick children the
parents pray to Mari Amman for recovery. Some temples from Mari Amman are said
to have healed very sick children, this temple is said to be also very powerful.
We were allowed to go into the inner part of the temple were a priest took me
and put me at Mari Amman’s feet and put white ash in my mouth.
The shock of being taken out of my mommies arms again and be put on the floor
made me start to cry, but later I understood that getting so close to the statue
of the Goddess and getting the prasadam there is very special.
The sounds, smells noise and heat in the temple had such a big impact on me that
when we got into the car and mommy gave me some milk I fell asleep straight!
I woke up when we got to Mr. Singh’s house were we played a bit and mommy and
daddy ate something.
After that we went home and had a relaxing afternoon.
I will keep you informed how my hair is growing!
