Kanyakumari and White Thingies

Just before we went to Kanyakumari with
aunty Annemiek this month my mom bought me
a hat!!
I think I look pretty smart with it and I like to show off!
See how I have grown!
My dad bought me silver anklets which make a sweet tingling sound whenever I
move. Now they hear me coming all the time!
Kanyakumari is on the outer southern tip of India. It is an important pilgrim
city for the Mother Goddess Kanyakumari. Many great Saints of India have come
there to meditate and left their energy and footprints behind. My mom a
nd dad
always enjoy being there and now I went there as well!!.
Being tied down in my safety car chair we left on a sunny afternoon.
By the time we reached the main road I was already fast asleep. Whenever I am
awake I get bored very easy in that
chair because I can’t move much so I need
some entertainment. This trip aunty Annemiek was very good in doing that! She is
the very nice aunty who helped me come into this world again, was here to enjoy the peace
and quietness of our house and garden for a while. After her stay here she
returned to Holland to help more new children come into the world again in a
peace full way.
In the temple in Kanyakumari I had a great time. My dad left me crawling around
while Mom and aunty Annemiek were meditating. I had to check out everything and
I got banana from one of the priests. All the visitors of the temple were
surprised to find a very fair little girl crawling around there and whenever they got the change
they pinched my cheek; a well know practice here in India by adults to greet
little children. By next year I am planning on pinching back!!
My mom had a very good time and I heard my dad say that she looked beautiful.
Just a day after my daddy’s birthday we return from Kanyakumari and the day
aunty Annemiek was leaving for Holland my mom finally found out that there was
something happening in my mouth…
I had tried to tell her a couple of days earlier that there was a sharp object
appearing on the lower front part of my mouth but she did not catch my strange
movements of my tongue and spitting sounds……
Her reaction after putting her fingers several times in my mouth to confirm her
discovery surprised me… she called everybody in a joyful way inviting everybody
to stick their fingers in my mouth or making me open my mouth for a while!! What
was this treatment about?? What was this thing doing in my mouth and why was
everybody so happy about it???
When I started objecting to all the curious uninvited fingers my mom took me for
a walk around the property and explained to me that my first tooth was coming
through and that there were many to follow.
She showed me the white thingies in her mouth…. it looked pretty full to me!! So
far I have been using my mouth to taste, test and feel everything before it
looses my interest. I don’t know yet how the white thingies to come will help me
in this! I just wait and see what will happen in my mouth….
It is a funny thing growing up and discovering all the possibilities and
surprises this body has in store for me!
